Third-Party Sellers Supplied 76% of Items Sold on Digikala
Digikala says marketplace sellers supplied 76% of items sold and 59% of net sales value in 2025–26.
Third-party sellers supplied 76% of the items sold on Digikala in the Iranian year ended March 20, 2026, while accounting for 59% of the net value of goods sold, the company said in figures marking a decade of its marketplace.
The gap between the two measures shows the different weight of sellers in the platform's unit sales and sales value. The 76% figure refers to individual items sold, not the number of orders. Digikala is an Iranian online shopping platform that sells goods itself and hosts independent merchants through its marketplace.

Sellers across the country
Digikala counted 426,862 verified sellers at the end of the Iranian year 1404, which ran from March 21, 2025, to March 20, 2026. Its 2025–26 annual report says those sellers were present in 1,615 cities and villages. About 40% were based in Tehran, with the next largest groups in Razavi Khorasan, Isfahan and Alborz provinces.

The company reported 15.3 million products available for sale on its platform, up from 7,708 in 2017–18, near the start of its marketplace operation. That is a measure of product range, not the number of products purchased.
Digikala also reported 47 active points for receiving and transferring sellers' goods across 23 cities. The network includes 19 specialist receiving and quality-control centers in 14 cities. These facilities provide a way for merchants to enter the platform's fulfillment system outside the capital.
Limits of the figures
Digikala says a change in its method for identifying eligible active sellers makes the latest seller count unsuitable for a direct year-on-year comparison.
