Tehran trade group to host Iran digital economy summit in December
The Tehran E-Commerce Association plans a Dec. 16–17 summit on Iran’s digital economy, combining specialist panels, a business exhibition and discussion of regional developments.
The Tehran E-Commerce Association will hold a two-day summit on Dec. 16–17, 2026, bringing together businesses, investors and policymakers to examine the development and prospects of Iran’s digital economy.
The Iran Digital Economy Summit will combine specialist discussions with an exhibition of companies’ products, services and achievements. The association says it aims to review more than two decades of activity and create opportunities for businesses to engage with investors, government bodies and others working in the sector.
The program will also examine digital economies in neighboring countries and the wider region, giving participants a basis for assessing Iran’s position alongside regional developments.
Panels and a business exhibition
The conference program will feature specialist sessions and panels where industry participants and experts can exchange views and experience. A separate exhibition will showcase the capabilities and work of businesses operating in the digital economy.
The association says the format is intended to help companies present their achievements, introduce investors to business opportunities and give relevant institutions a clearer picture of the sector’s scale and needs.
The organizer’s event page identifies five areas of focus: digital retail, digital health, internet infrastructure, financial technology and marketing technology. Shared discussion themes include the future of the digital economy with e-commerce at its center; the integration of technology, data and customer experience online; digital regulation and policymaking; and industry statistics and data-driven reporting.
A mirrorwork theme
The event’s visual identity draws on Iranian mirrorwork, in which small pieces of mirror form a larger composition. Organizers use the idea to represent the contributions of businesses, entrepreneurs, specialists and institutions to the country’s digital economy.
Alongside the review of past activity, the summit is intended to examine the sector’s current circumstances and provide space to discuss opportunities, challenges and possible paths for further development. The organizer’s website identifies infrastructure problems, regulatory restrictions and obstacles facing businesses as part of that discussion.
The summit is scheduled to run from noon to 8 p.m. Iran Standard Time on both days at Shahid Zargham Hall. Further information is available on the event website, in Persian.
