Jabama's annual report highlights an average annual sales growth of 206% between the years 2021 and 2024. Additionally, bookings increased by 132%, effectively doubling to 2.3 times previous figures.

Despite the expansion of the online accommodation booking market, offline services continue to dominate, accounting for 80% of the market. Online platforms captured only 20% of the market by the end of last year.

The report also noted that the share of online accommodation bookings from the total non-hotel accommodation market in Iran was just 7% in 2022. This figure increased to 17% in 2023, indicating gradual progress.

Online Accommodation Market Faces Inflation Challenges

According to Jabama’s evaluations and data from Iran’s Statistics Center, the total size of Iran’s accommodation market reached 28 trillion tomans, marking a 17% growth compared to 2023. However, official inflation data for 2024 revealed a decline in the real value of this market.

The Statistics Center reported an annual inflation rate of 32.5% at the spring of 2025. The “hotel and restaurant” category registered an inflation rate of 30%. These figures show that Iran's online accommodation booking market growth has not kept pace with inflation, suggesting a reduction in the real market size.

Nevertheless, non-hotel accommodations remain more reasonably priced compared to hotels. This contributed to roughly a 20% growth in online bookings and rentals for these accommodations.

The gross revenue of the market was reported at 4.2 trillion tomans, a 35% increase from 2023. Booking volume grew by 7%, reaching a total of 7.5 million reservations last year. Users spent an average of 3.5 million tomans per reservation.

Estimates indicate that over 60,000 hosts now use online booking platforms, with a total of approximately 120,000 accommodations listed.

Jabama Surpasses Eight Million Users

In its annual report, Jabama announced it attracted one million new users in 2024, bringing its total user count to eight million. This figure is estimated to have grown further in the first half of 2025. The number of hosts active on the platform reached 18,000.

Jabama operates in 832 cities, an increase of 63 cities compared to 2023. The platform's accommodation listings exceeded a total of 30,000.

Notable Guest Records and Host Achievements

Jabama highlighted several guest records in its report. One user made the highest number of bookings in a year, 31 reservations. Another guest recorded the longest single stay, spending 30 nights at a seaside villa in Fereydunkenar, Mazandaran Province.

A guest set a record by spending a total of 245 nights across various Jabama accommodations last year. The cheapest reservation was priced at 128,000 tomans, while the most expensive cost 205 million tomans for a five-night stay accommodating ten people.

One adventurous guest made reservations at 34 different accommodations. Another travel-loving guest completed 21 reservations across 16 cities.

Hosts also achieved notable success. Hosts' income doubled last year compared to 2023. In Kordan village in Alborz Province, one host accommodated 2,744 guests, while another host recorded 311 reservations in a year.

The highest-earning host is located on Qeshm Island, earning six billion and three hundred million tomans last year. The highest-earning accommodation is in Tonekabon, Mazandaran Province, generating seven billion and four hundred million tomans in revenue.
