Vahid Yazdanian Named Deputy at ICT Ministry for National Information Network Affairs
Vahid Yazdanian appointed Deputy for National Information Network Development.
The Minister of ICT has appointed Vahid Yazdanian as Deputy for National Information Network Development within the ministry. Yazdanian will also serve as Acting Head of the Iranian Space Research Center.
In the appointment decree, the Minister emphasized the importance of developing and completing the National Information Network. This network is seen as the core infrastructure for transforming the innovation ecosystem and digital economy. Yazdanian has been tasked with drafting strategic plans aligned with technological advancements, fostering effective collaboration with the National Center for Cyberspace, and promoting private sector and knowledge-based company participation.
Additional responsibilities include leveraging modern technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, overseeing National Information Network projects, and updating development indicators for the network.
Academic and Executive Background
Vahid Yazdanian holds a Ph.D. from Amirkabir University of Technology. He is a faculty member in the Optical Telecommunications Group at the Research Institute for Communications and Information Technology. Yazdanian is also an official member of the Supreme Council of Space.
His managerial experience includes leading the Iranian Space Research Center and the Research Institute for Communications and Information Technology. He has also served as Manager of the Post and Telecommunications Faculty.
