Nobitex Warns Miners to Update Wallets After Security Breach
Nobitex urges miners to update wallets after a security breach. Avoid losing cryptocurrency by taking action now.
The Nobitex cryptocurrency exchange has advised its users to update their wallet addresses in mining pools immediately. This notice follows a security breach on June 18 that required the platform to change all wallet addresses.
Risk of Asset Loss for Miners
According to Digiato, Nobitex stressed that miners using outdated wallet addresses to receive rewards could lose their assets entirely. The exchange clarified that cryptocurrency deposits to old addresses are no longer possible. Any funds sent to these outdated addresses will be irretrievable.
Steps to Update Wallet Addresses
Nobitex outlined the steps users must take to secure their assets. Users should log into their accounts, navigate to the cryptocurrency deposit section, and retrieve their new wallet addresses. They must then access their mining platform or preferred service and replace the old address with the new one in the wallet settings or payout section.
The exchange urged all users, particularly miners, to complete this update as soon as possible. Nobitex emphasised that only the newly provided wallet addresses will be valid for deposits and withdrawals on its platform moving forward.
