The head of Pardis Technology Park announced plans to launch Iran's Technology Exchange in the second half of the Iranian year 1404 (2025-26).
The head of Pardis Technology Park announced plans to launch Iran's Technology Exchange in the second half of the Iranian year 1404 (2025-26). The initiative stems from a resolution to establish Iran's International Innovation Zone, aiming to channel economic investment into technology.
According to the PR office of the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology, Mehdi Safarinia, President of Pardis Technology Park, revealed that preliminary negotiations have begun with various entities, including stock market players, to set up the exchange.
Speaking at a meeting on technology trade and exchange, Safarinia noted that the resolution on Iran's International Innovation Zone mandates Pardis Technology Park to establish the platform. "This exchange will operate on a transactional basis, directing economic investment toward technology" said Safarini.
National Tech Market Infrastructure Already in Place
Safarinia highlighted that Iran's National Technology and Innovation Network (Fanbazaar) has been developed over the past 15 years, with operational structures now established in all 31 provinces. He explained: "The Innovation Zone resolution formally recognizes these brokers, which currently operate nationwide through private-sector capacity."
Legal Mandate for the Exchange
Article 25 of the resolution tasks the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology and Pardis Technology Park with:
- Creating the national Technology Exchange within the Innovation Zone.
- Organizing technology trade brokers.
- Facilitating tech transfer and marketing of knowledge-based products via Fanbazaar at national and international levels.
