Iran's Minister of ICT, Sattar Hashemi, announced the launch of a comprehensive cybersecurity program aimed at strengthening national defenses against cyber threats.

Speaking during a meeting in Shiraz with ICT professionals, tech companies, and provincial officials, Hashemi highlighted the urgency of cybersecurity following what he described as the 'most complex and widespread cyberattack during the 12-day imposed war by the Zionist regime.' The initiative includes extensive collaboration with various agencies to bolster national cybersecurity measures.

Hashemi also revealed plans to train human resources in cybersecurity through cooperation between the Ministry of ICT and the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology.

Additionally, he noted that efforts to establish a regulatory body for cybersecurity are nearing completion.

Addressing content production challenges, he called for legal cooperation from provincial authorities to overcome issues such as copyright barriers.
