Hossein Afshin, Deputy of Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy to the President, announced during a press conference that the second Technology Olympics will be held internationally this year. Over 12,000 people have registered, including more than 1,100 participants from 65 countries.

The final stage of the competition is set to occur from October 27 to October 30 at Pardis Technology Park.

Afshin noted that the first edition of the Olympics was held nationally last year, attracting 6,300 participants. This year, the event has expanded to an international scale.

Details on Main Fields and Participants

Afshin explained that the competition will focus on three main fields: artificial intelligence, programming, and cybersecurity. Representatives from 14 countries have qualified for these categories.

Among the 65 nations participating, representatives from Pakistan have secured 18 quotas, Russia obtained 11 quotas, and Vietnam earned 5 quotas in these main fields.

'Work Station' Initiative for Employment

Afshin highlighted the 'Work Station' segment as a significant part of the event. This initiative aims to connect talented individuals with knowledge-based and technology companies.

Employment profiles will be created for all participants who qualify for the final stage. Additionally, direct job interviews will be conducted between participants and company representatives during the competition.
