The international organization IDP Education has announced that IELTS exams in Iran will stop being held from January 31, 2026.

The Tehran IELTS Institute released a statement saying: "The international organization IDP Education has made a difficult decision due to certain financial and regulatory conditions beyond our control. According to this decision, IELTS exams in Iran will continue until January 31, 2026, and will then be temporarily suspended."

Assurance for Registered Candidates

The institute emphasized that all scheduled exams will proceed as planned. No candidate with a valid booking will miss their test.

Additionally, the exam results will remain valid and accepted worldwide. No changes will occur in the international validity of your results.

Future of IELTS in Iran

According to the statement, access to all free IELTS preparation resources will still be available.

The announcement also stated that there are currently no plans to resume the exams in Iran. However, if conditions improve, the matter will be reviewed again.
