Mojtaba Alizadeh, Assistant to the Vice President for Iran's Science and Technology, announced the official launch of a nationwide initiative to train one million Iranian students in artificial intelligence (AI). The program, implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, will be offered free of charge starting in April-May 2025.
Alizadeh emphasized the initiative’s primary goal of enhancing public awareness and building national capacity in AI. "The program is intelligently and engagingly designed for students aged 7 to 15, combining theoretical and hands-on training," he stated.
He added, "In the first phase, alongside educating one million students, we will train 100,000 teachers to familiarize them with AI technologies and improve their interaction with students in this field."
Alizadeh highlighted the critical role of specialized human capital in advancing Iran’s strategic sectors, such as AI and quantum technologies. "This program is part of the broader strategy by the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology to develop cutting-edge, sovereignty-enhancing technologies," he asserted.
