In June 2025, Tapsi, a leading Iranian internet-based taxi service, reported revenue of 292 billion rials, marking a 20% decline from May’s 368 billion rials, according to its monthly activity report published on Codal.

The report indicates that extraordinary national conditions during the last nine days of June, coinciding with a 12-day war, significantly reduced both revenue and the number of rides, particularly in Tehran.

Tapsi generated approximately 285.9 billion rials from commissions charged to its drivers, alongside about 3.5 billion rials in revenue from telephone services in June. Additionally, the company earned 1.24 billion rials from service restarts and close to 2 billion rials from other operational revenues.

It is notable that digital economy firms like Tapsi do not follow linear revenue patterns typical of traditional businesses, reflecting variability inherent in the sector.
