Iranian e-commerce leader Digikala processed 91.5 million units of goods from its suppliers in the Iranian year 1403 (March 2024–March 2025), ten million units higher than the previous year, according to its newest annual report.

The company said its scale of operations is now aligned with international retailers, comparing its inventory volume in 2024/25 to more than 760 Walmart stores.

Processing One Million Items Daily

At the center of Digikala's logistics operation are its processing centers, 6.1 million units of warehouse space, and the ability to process one million pieces per day. The centers employ 1,710 full-time and 400 part-time staff, of which men comprise 60% and women 40%.

Digikala announced that it began implementing digital twin systems across its warehouses, using real-time sensor data to simulate operations and deliver optimized decision-making to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

Nationwide Coverage to 2,239 Cities

During the year, the company installed 959 new nodes of infrastructure, extending coverage to 2,239 Iranian cities, including 544 outside Tehran, enabling deliveries to outlying areas that were inaccessible before.

Its logistics segment, Digiexpress, achieved an on-time delivery rate of 95.1%, a record that the company described as Iran's new record and competitive to that of international standards. Digiexpress had 6,473 couriers who collectively covered more than 54.6 million kilometers to make deliveries within the country.

Returns and Customer Experience

Digikala handled 2.48 million returned items in 2024/25, which took an average of 3.46 days, supported by 61 return centers across 57 cities. The company also stated that it resolved 91% of the customers' first-time issues by connecting its call center.

Digikala emphasized that its continuing investments in physical and digital infrastructure not only improved operational speed and accuracy but also customer satisfaction in Iran's increasingly competitive e-commerce market.
