The head of Iran's Information Technology Organization has announced ongoing negotiations to export Iranian messaging apps to neighboring countries. These products could be offered in regional markets as white-label services.

Mohammad Mohsen Sadr said, "Regular meetings are held within the ministry, some of which focus on infrastructure. These meetings analyze messaging app traffic, user numbers, and activity trends."

He added, "We aim to transform domestic messaging apps into effective platforms for delivering government services to the public. These services will only be available through local messaging apps, as no governmental services will be provided via foreign platforms."

Government Services Through Messaging Apps

Sadr highlighted the ministry's support initiatives. He stated, "In addition to infrastructure support, we have made considerable progress in connecting messaging apps to government agencies. Citizens can now access various government services through domestic messaging apps and receive notifications for services such as postal tracking codes."

Exporting Messaging Apps as White-Label Products

Sadr elaborated on the export potential of local messaging apps. "During my recent trip to Saudi Arabia, I proposed that our local messaging apps could offer their services as white-label products to other countries. This proposal was positively received. Negotiations are ongoing, and we expect to introduce these national products to regional markets," he explained.

He also mentioned the Qasedak project: "We have launched the Qasedak project, which creates connections between messaging apps. The Qasedak company, jointly owned by the messaging apps themselves, sends government-related messages to all platforms. Users can receive service notifications regardless of the app they use."

Unified Map Platform Proposal

Sadr further discussed the comprehensive map platform proposal. He said, "Our suggestion is to create a unified map platform that connects various agencies. Agencies can upload maps based on specific standards, which would facilitate service delivery and enhance organizational performance."
