The managers of the Iranian business data platform Rasmio who were detained in recent days have been released on bail on an interim basis. Legal action in the case is ongoing.
The arrests followed as social media users circulated a video in which a self-proclaimed cybercrime expert had demonstrated how he was able to obtain the residential address of a nuclear scientist using publicly available data from Rasmio. Shortly thereafter, the platform's website went black, and two managers and one technical officer were taken into custody.
Reports today confirm that the arrested managers have been released on bail today. No further information has been made public about the charges they are facing or the way in which the investigation is progressing.
