The World Architecture Festival (WAF) has announced its finalists for 2025, and Digikala's first offline retail store in Tehran is among the shortlisted projects for the Retail Interior Design category.
The "Office Border" store, designed by architect Houman Talebi, was praised to usher in new ideas on retail space and customer experience.
Among the shortlist are several Iranian works in different categories that demonstrate the growing number of Iran as a player in global architectural competitions.
The WAF jury shortlists projects across different sections including Completed Buildings, Future Projects, Temporary Use Spaces, Commercial Mixed-Use, Educational and Cultural Buildings, and Architecture Competitions. Digikala's store was shortlisted in the Retail Interior Design subcategory, a significant achievement for the firm as well as Iranian design professionals.
